3 Signs You're Wearing the Wrong Bra Size
By: Elizabeth Casciaro
If you’re going to wear a bra, it’s important that it’s the right size so that you can be as comfortable as possible and actually enjoy wearing one. Surprisingly, over 80% of women are actually wearing the wrong bra size! It’s no wonder why so many people, especially young girls who are still growing, find them uncomfortable sometimes. However, wearing the correct size can go a long way, and here are some signs that you might need to purchase a new one:
1. The underwire is cutting into your skin and/or resting on your breast tissue
Wearing a bra should never be painful. If it is, it probably means you’re wearing a size that’s too small. Sizing up and making sure that the wire hugs the entire contour of your breast and isn’t sitting on top of any breast tissue should solve any discomfort.
2. The back and front of your bra are not level with each other
If you feel like your bra is moving around a lot or too tight around your back, you’re most likely wearing the wrong band size. 80% of the support a bra gives you actually comes from the band, so it’s important to make sure it fits well!
3. There is space in between your breast and the actual cup, or you’re spilling out of it
Making sure that your breasts fill out the cups of your bra is essential for a flattering fit. The fabric of your bra should be in contact with and cover the side and top of your breasts.
Trying to find your correct bra size can be intimidating with the seemingly random numbers and letters. Thankfully, Apricotton has an easy-to-use size guide to help you, so be sure to check it out!
